THANK YOU MR. SOLOMON B. APPARTAIM-FORMER AMASS HEADMASTER - YOUR LEGACY LIVES

For those of you who were students in the early 80s into the early 90s, a Shama native and a well built tall handsome man with a super flair for  English literature and eloquence by name Mr. Solomon Appartaim transitioned from being an Assistant Headmaster under Supi Annan Nunoo of Mankessim/Nomabu (then Headmaster) to being the headmaster from 1983 onwards. This principled man was in charge of the early Amass then Secondary School's Sunday obligatory morning Choir practice at the School's Assembly hall. Yes, during those days, You missed a choir practice at your own peril and one would receive Assembly lashes. It was not an easy time but some of us "the guy guy type", attended those hymn practices for fear of not being lashed and disgraced at the next school assembly. Those years of social and extra curricula learning is today a legacy of Mr. Appartaim assisted by Mr. Andoh, the Music master and Ayirebi-Bondzie, the French master.
